Marcus Lamar

Marcus founded Lamar Realty after fifteen years representing architecturally significant homes across metro Detroit. His background in design — a degree in architecture from the University of Michigan, a brief career at SmithGroup before returning to real estate — shapes how he markets a property. He believes a well-designed home deserves more than standard photography and a generic listing description, and he’s built the brokerage around that conviction. He represents homes from Bloomfield Hills to Indian Village, with particular focus on mid-century, prairie-style, and modernist architecture. Clients tend to find him through other clients, through architects, and through the homes themselves. He lives in Birmingham with his wife and two children.
