Huntington Woods is one of Oakland County’s smallest communities — under two square miles, mostly residential, deeply settled. The streets are platted in a clean grid, the lots are larger than the surrounding communities, and the architectural inventory tends toward substantial mid-century and traditional homes built for the postwar professional class. The Detroit Zoo borders the community to the south.

The school district is among the state’s strongest, and the housing market reflects that: turnover is slow, prices have escalated steadily, and the homes that do come to market are often generational transitions.
